Consumer banking plays an important role in banks’ profitability. Although the growing economy and further improvements in the level of household income have created many opportunities for consumer banking, there is also increasingly strong competition amongst the financial institutions due to the liberalization and globalization of the banking industry.

In order to remain competitive, banks have to take steps to introduce new consumer banking products and services that will make banking more convenient and accessible to the public.

OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY
